FAQ: Broadacre Farmers

What's the cost per hectare for a season's program?

Depends on the products you choose, your application rate and passes per season. As a guide, Amino Mate is applied at 1–3L/Ha for broadacre — contact our team for a tailored quote against your paddock and rotation.

What ROI can I expect, and how do I measure it?

ROI shows up as improved yield, grain quality (protein) and reduced reliance on synthetic inputs over time, plus rebuilt soil structure and water-holding capacity. We'd recommend a trial strip against your standard program so you can measure the comparison on your own country.

Can it go through my existing boom spray or fertigation gear?

Yes — designed for foliar spray, boom spray and dripper/fertigation application, running through standard broadacre spray equipment without modification. All products are filtered to 120 mesh for clean flow through fine nozzles and irrigation systems.

Is it compatible with the herbicides and pesticides already in my spray program?

Formulated to combine easily with most herbicides, pesticides, copper and sulfur — usually tank-mixable into an existing pass rather than requiring a separate run. Jar-test before a full tank mix. Do not use with Fungicides.

Does it improve drought resilience?

Building soil microbial life and structure improves the soil's capacity to hold and cycle moisture and nutrients, supporting crops through dry periods better than degraded soil. It's not a substitute for rainfall, but it helps build more resilient soil over multiple seasons.

What's the right timing relative to sowing and flowering?

As a guide, Amino Mate for broadacre is applied at 1–3L/Ha at the 4-6 leaf stage, where as Liquid Kelp and Humate can be used from seeding. We also have a Cereal Crops Enrichment Program mapping a full-season timing plan — ask our team for the current version.

How does this compare to synthetic nitrogen in cereal crops?

Our microbe-based products work to release nitrogen already present in the soil — our materials reference microbial activity unlocking over 180kg of nitrogen per acre — rather than simply adding more synthetic nitrogen. The aim is better nutrient cycling and protein outcomes, used alongside or in place of part of a synthetic program depending on your goals.

Can it reduce how much synthetic fertiliser I need over time?

Many growers wind back synthetic inputs gradually as soil biology rebuilds and nutrient cycling improves, rather than cutting over in one season. Talk to us about a transition plan suited to your paddocks.

Is there a cereal-crop-specific program?

Yes — our Cereal Crops Enrichment Program covers product and timing recommendations across the growing season. Ask our team for the current version.

How does better soil biology actually translate into yield?

Healthier microbial populations improve nutrient availability, root development and soil structure, supporting more consistent crop establishment and fill — particularly valuable in marginal or previously chemically-stressed paddocks.

Can I tank-mix it with other broadacre inputs in one pass?

In most cases yes, since it combines with common herbicides, pesticides, copper and sulfur — saving a separate pass. Always test compatibility with your specific tank mix first.

What's the minimum order for farm-scale supply (200L/1000L)?

Minimum order quantities for our 200L drums and 1000L IBCs depend on your account and location — contact our wholesale team for current minimums and farm-gate delivery options.

Does it help with soil structure on heavy clay or compacted paddocks?

Yes — rebuilding microbial activity and organic matter cycling helps improve aggregate structure over time, particularly on compacted or heavy clay country.

How long before I see results at paddock scale?

Visible crop response can show within a season, but bigger structural soil changes — water-holding capacity, aggregate stability, microbial diversity — typically build over several seasons of consistent use.

Can I get it delivered to the farm gate?

Depends on your location and order size — our team can confirm freight and delivery for your address when you place a wholesale order.

Can it be used on pasture as well as cropping paddocks?

Yes — the range suits both pasture and cropping country; application timing and rate differ depending on what you're growing.

Does it support a certified organic broadacre operation?

Our products carry certified organic / allowed-input status through Southern Cross Certified — check the current certification on your chosen product and confirm with your certifying body that it fits your organic management plan.
